IP-addresses

Such linking requires additional information (particularly from the internet provider who issued the IP-address or from the visitor himself). For that reason IP-addresses are considered personal data.
Lighthouse IP Group does not link IP-addresses of visitors of our websites to individuals.
Lighthouse IP Group uses IP-addresses of visitors of our websites for internal research and promotion purposes. In addition, we may use the IP-addresses to update an IP-database which is required for our services. This database contains the following information:
• which domain name is linked to the IP-address and the registered owner thereof;
• the owner's type of organization (government, ICT, education, etc) and geographic location;
• the geographic location of the IP-address (city or larger geographic unity);
• the type of connection of the IP-address to the internet (cable, ADSL, etc).
IP-addresses of visitors to our website are not provided to third parties, unless these are anonymized and aggregated first.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file that is stored on the computer of a visitor when he visits a website. If he visits the website again, the cookie shows that it is a repeat visit. Because the visitor is recognized though the cookie, cookies are considered personal data. In addition, cookies may contain personal data themselves.
Cookies issued by Lighthouse IP Group contain merely a unique number and therefore contain no personal data. They have a lifetime of 5 years.
Lighthouse IP Group does not link cookies to individuals.
Lighthouse IP Group uses cookies only to recognize repeat visits.
Cookies issued by Lighthouse IP Group cannot be used to trace your surfing behavior across other websites than the Lighthouse website.

Lighthouse IP Group will store personal data no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it has been collected.

7. Amendments to this privacy policy
Lighthouse IP Group reserve the right to amend the content of this privacy policy. If Lighthouse IP Group changes the policy to increase our rights to use your personal data, you will be notified on our website of such changes and we will only apply such wider uses to personal data we obtain after the date that the policy was changed.
